  • 2 cups shredded cabbage (or your favorite low-carb vegetable) Feel free to substitute with other low-carb options like spinach or zucchini.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella) Choose your favorite cheese for a different flavor.
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large skillet, brown the sausage over medium heat until fully cooked, breaking it into crumbles while cooking.
  • Add the shredded cabbage to the skillet and cook until tender, about 5-7 minutes.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, eggs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

Baking

  • In an oven-safe dish, layer the cooked sausage and cabbage.
  • Pour the cream mixture over the top and sprinkle generously with shredded cheese.
  • Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. Reheat in the oven or microwave before serving. For gluten-free options, ensure the sausage is labeled gluten-free.
