Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh spinach packed
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice juice of 1 lemon
  • 0.5 green apple cored
  • 1 celery stalk
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 0.5 inch fresh ginger root
  • 1 small cucumber peeled if waxed
  • 0.5 cup cold water
  • 0.5 cup ice cubes
  • 1 tsp honey or a few drops of stevia optional, to taste

Instructions
 

  • Wash all produce thoroughly. Peel the cucumber if needed. Chop everything roughly to make blending smoother.
  • Combine spinach, lemon juice, green apple, celery, ginger, cucumber, chia seeds, water, and ice in a high-powered blender.
  • Blend on high for 45–60 seconds or until completely smooth. Add more water if you prefer a thinner consistency.
  • Taste and adjust the flavor with optional honey or stevia. Add more lemon if desired.
  • Pour into a tall glass and enjoy fresh.

Notes

For added protein, blend in your favorite protein powder. Store leftovers in a glass jar in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Freeze in ice cube trays for future smoothies. Variations include mint or basil, cayenne and ACV for detox, or turning it into a smoothie bowl.
