  • 1 teaspoon coriander
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 2 pieces green chilies, chopped Adjust according to your spice preference.

Preparation

  • Clean and peel the potatoes, then cut them into cubes and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium heat and sauté the sliced onions until they become golden brown.
  • Stir in the turmeric, cumin, and coriander, mixing them with the onions.
  • Add the cubed potatoes and green chilies. Season with salt and mix everything well.
  • Reduce heat, cover the skillet, and let the potatoes cook for 20-25 minutes or until they are tender, stirring occasionally.
  • Once cooked, remove from heat and garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.

Notes

A squeeze of lemon juice before serving can brighten the dish and add a delightful zing. If you prefer a crispy texture, try roasting the potatoes instead of sautéing.
