Ingredients

For the Bloody Cups

  • 1 cup Vegan yogurt (plain or vanilla, thick) Choose a thick yogurt for best results.
  • 1/2 cup Red berry sauce (raspberry, strawberry, or cherry) Use jam or fresh/frozen berries.
  • splash N/A Plant milk (to thin if needed) Just a splash if the sauce is too thick.
  • 4 pieces Small clear cups (shot glasses or mini dessert cups) For serving.
  • optional N/A Cocoa powder, crushed gluten free cookies, or dairy free chocolate chips For topping if desired.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Make your 'blood' sauce by stirring 2 to 3 tablespoons of jam with 1 tablespoon warm water until it reaches a thick syrup consistency or simmer frozen berries with sugar for 5 minutes.
  • Prep your cups by spooning a tiny bit of sauce in the bottom of each cup and swirl it up the sides.
  • Add vegan yogurt, leaving some space at the top.
  • Add more sauce on top and use a toothpick to drag it through for a streaky effect.
  • Finish by dusting cocoa, adding chocolate chips, or sprinkling cookie crumbs on top.

Notes

Keep the 'blood' sauce thick so it clings to the cup and looks dramatic. Use contrasting colors for decoration to enhance the spooky effect.
