Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour (or a gluten-free alternative) Use high-quality flour for best results.
  • 1 scoop protein powder (your choice: vanilla or unflavored)
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Wet Ingredients

  • ¾ cup Greek yogurt (plain) Greek yogurt gives the best texture and protein content.
  • 1 piece egg (for egg wash) Brush over bagels for golden finish.

Optional Toppings

  • everything seasoning, sesame seeds, or poppy seeds Feel free to experiment with different toppings.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, protein powder, baking powder, and salt until they are well combined.
  • Add the Greek yogurt to the dry ingredients. Using a spatula or your hands, mix until it forms a dough. It may seem sticky at first; don’t worry.
  • Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead it for about 2-3 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  • Divide the dough into 6-8 equal portions. Roll each piece into a ball, then poke a hole in the center and stretch it to form a bagel shape.
  • Place the shaped bagels on your prepared baking sheet. In a small bowl, whisk the egg and brush it over the bagels for a gorgeous golden finish. If you like, sprinkle your desired toppings over them.

Baking

  • Bake in your preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until they are golden brown and cooked through.

Cooling

  • Let them cool slightly on a wire rack before indulging.

Notes

For optimal results, measure ingredients accurately and avoid overmixing. Experiment with flavors by adding spices or herbs to the dough. Store them in an airtight container for freshness.
