  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup Use maple syrup for a vegan option.
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce Use gluten-free if needed.
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

Main ingredients

  • 4 pieces salmon fillets Opt for wild-caught salmon if possible.
  • 2 green onions sliced For garnish.
  • sesame seeds For garnish.

Preparation

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the white miso paste, honey (or maple syrup), soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sesame oil until the mixture is smooth.
  • Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors infuse.

Cooking

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Remove the salmon from the marinade and arrange it skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.

Serving

  • Once baked, remove the salmon from the oven and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve warm.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in the microwave or in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) until warmed through.
