  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Divided into two portions.
  • 4 large eggs Provides structure to the casserole.
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream Enhances creaminess.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder For flavor.
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce For seasoning.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon and set it aside, leaving the bacon grease in the pan.
  • Brown the ground beef in the remaining grease, adding the diced onion for extra flavor. Drain any excess fat.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and heavy cream. Stir in the cooked beef and onions, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Fold in the crispy bacon and half of the shredded cheese.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until the casserole is set and the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with sliced pickles, tomatoes, or lettuce if desired.

Notes

Store any leftover casserole in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4-5 days. You can freeze the casserole before baking, just cover it tightly and it can last in the freezer for up to 2 months.
