Honey-Lime Garlic Butter Baked Salmon

Ingredients
  

For the salmon

  • 4 pieces salmon fillets (about 6 oz each), skin on

For the glaze

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 piece lime, zest and juice
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free option)
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

For garnish

  • Fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped for garnish
  • Lime wedges for serving

Instructions
 

Preheat and prepare

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly oil a baking dish.

Make the glaze

  • In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, honey, minced garlic, lime zest, lime juice, soy sauce, and smoked paprika until smooth.

Season the salmon

  • Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season lightly with salt and pepper.
  • Place fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet.

Glaze and bake

  • Spoon the honey-lime garlic butter mixture over each fillet, reserving a little glaze for serving.
  • Bake for 12–15 minutes, depending on thickness, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the top is glossy and slightly caramelized.

Finish and serve

  • Spoon any pan juices over the salmon, garnish with chopped parsley or cilantro, and serve with lime wedges.

Notes

Don't overcook: Salmon continues to cook slightly after coming out of the oven. Aim for an internal temperature of 125–130°F (52–54°C) for moist, tender fillets. The honey-lime garlic butter can be made a day in advance. For meal prepping inspiration, try a different sheet-pan dinner with similar flavors.
