Ingredients

For the Dough

  • 2 cups gluten-free flour blend Use a blend designed for gluten-free baking.
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 3/4 cup warm water Make sure it's warm but not hot.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup For sweetness.

For the Toppings

  • 1 cup pizza sauce Store-bought or homemade.
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese Or any cheese of choice.
  • 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup olives (optional) Optional ingredient.
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) to ensure it’s hot and ready for your pizza.
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the gluten-free flour blend, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and dried oregano.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the warm water, olive oil, and honey (or maple syrup) until well combined.
  • Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients. Stir until a dough forms. If it’s too sticky, add a bit more flour until you reach the right consistency.
  • Dust a clean surface with gluten-free flour and place the dough on it. Roll out the dough to your desired thickness—aim for about 1/4 inch thick for a nice crispy crust.
  • Carefully place the rolled-out dough on a parchment-lined baking sheet or pizza stone.
  • Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, just until it starts to firm up.
  • Remove the crust from the oven. Spread the pizza sauce over the crust, followed by an even layer of cheese. Add your choice of toppings, such as sliced bell peppers, mushrooms, and olives.
  • Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Once out of the oven, let the pizza cool for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before slicing. Enjoy every savory bite!

Notes

Measure ingredients carefully; gluten-free baking relies on precise measurements. These are versatile so feel free to mix and match toppings.
