Instructions

Baking the Cupcakes

  • In another bowl, whisk together the milk, butter, and eggs until well combined.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix just until no dry spots remain.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared cupcake liners, filling them about 2/3 full.
  • Bake for 15-18 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let them cool completely.

Decorating the Cupcakes

  • Make sure cupcakes are completely cool before decorating to prevent frosting from drooping.
  • Pipe a thick dollop of frosting on each cupcake in a ghostly shape.
  • Press two mini chocolate chips into the frosting for eyes, and use black gel for mouths if desired.
  • For consistent appearance, pipe frosting on all cupcakes before adding eyes.

Notes

Store unfrosted cupcakes in an airtight container at room temperature for 1-2 days. Frosted cupcakes should be refrigerated if they use dairy. For a dairy-free option, use plant-based butter and milk alternatives.
