  • 1 package gluten-free chocolate sandwich cookies like Oreos
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened or a dairy-free alternative for a dairy-free version
  • 8 ounces dairy-free chocolate for coating
  • to taste Sprinkles or crushed cookies for decoration optional

Preparation

  • Begin by placing the gluten-free chocolate sandwich cookies in a food processor. Pulse until they turn into fine crumbs.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cookie crumbs with the softened cream cheese. Mix until fully blended.
  • Using your hands, scoop out small portions of the mixture and roll them into balls, aiming for about 1 inch in diameter.
  • Place the truffle balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.

Coating

  • Melt the dairy-free chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
  • Dip each truffle into the melted chocolate using a fork and allow excess chocolate to drip off.
  • Before the chocolate sets, sprinkle with crushed cookies or colorful sprinkles if desired.
  • Allow the truffles to rest on the parchment paper until the chocolate hardens completely.

Notes
