Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy (3 to 5 minutes).
  • Incorporate the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the gluten-free flour, salt, and baking powder.
  • Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined, being careful not to overmix.

Baking

  • Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cooling

  • Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
