Ingredients

Roll Ingredients

  • 2 cups gluten-free all-purpose flour Use a blend that contains xanthan gum.
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 large eggs Can use an egg substitute for a vegan version.
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • Optional: Herbs or spices for added flavor Consider rosemary, thyme, or cheese.

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together the gluten-free flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the olive oil, warm water, eggs, and apple cider vinegar.
  • Slowly pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until fully combined into a dough.
  • Lightly flour your hands and gently knead the dough in the bowl for about 1–2 minutes until smooth.
  • Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel and let the dough rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.

Shaping and Baking

  • Once the dough has risen, divide it into equal portions and shape them into balls.
  • Place the balls on a lined baking sheet, leaving space between each one.
  • Cover the shaped rolls with a towel again and let them rise for another 20-30 minutes.
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving them warm.
