Ingredients

Dry Ingredients

  • 2.5 cups gluten-free flour blend
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened (or halal alternative)
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

Chocolate Chips

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips (ensure gluten-free)

Instructions

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the gluten-free flour blend, baking soda, and salt.
  • In another large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just incorporated.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips gently.

Baking

  • Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them about two inches apart.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden but the centers are still soft.
  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for about five minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.

Notes

Check your gluten-free flour blend for freshness, use room temperature ingredients for better texture, and avoid overbaking for chewy cookies.
