  • 8 ounces gluten-free pasta your choice of shape
  • 1 pound ground beef or a halal alternative
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon mustard yellow or Dijon
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  • In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add your gluten-free pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess grease if necessary.
  • Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes until the onion becomes translucent.
  • Stir in the paprika, mustard, and season generously with salt and pepper. Mix well to combine.
  • Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer. Then, add in the cream cheese, stirring until it melts and the mixture is creamy. Finally, fold in the shredded cheddar cheese until it melts.
  • Gently stir in the cooked gluten-free pasta until everything is well combined. Allow it to simmer for another few minutes.
  • Remove from heat and serve hot. Top with optional diced tomatoes, pickles, or green onions if desired.

Notes

Ensure you don’t overcook your gluten-free pasta. For a creamier texture, add more cream cheese or use half-and-half instead of broth. Taste as you go to adjust seasonings.
