  • 1 lb beef sirloin or flank steak, sliced thinly Choose high-quality beef for better flavor.
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

Sauce Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons gluten-free flour
  • 2 cups gluten-free beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce or coconut aminos
  • 1 cup coconut cream or dairy-free sour cream
  • to taste Salt and pepper

For Serving

  • to taste Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
  • Gluten-free noodles or rice Use pasta or rice for serving.

Instructions
 

Sauté the Beef

  • In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add the sliced beef in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Sear until browned. Remove and set aside.

Cook the Vegetables

  • In the same skillet, add a bit more oil if needed, then sauté the onions until they are translucent.
  • Add the garlic and mushrooms, cooking until the mushrooms are tender (about 5 minutes).

Create the Sauce

  • Sprinkle the gluten-free flour over the mushrooms and onions, stirring to coat.
  • Gradually add the gluten-free beef broth, stirring constantly to avoid lumps.
  • Stir in the Dijon mustard and soy sauce, and let it simmer for around 5 minutes.

Combine Everything

  • Return the seared beef to the skillet, allowing it to warm through.
  • Stir in the coconut cream or dairy-free sour cream until completely combined and heated through. Season with salt and pepper.

Serve and Enjoy

  • Serve your Gluten-Free Beef Stroganoff over gluten-free noodles or rice, and finish with a garnish of fresh parsley.

Notes

Leftover Gluten-Free Beef Stroganoff can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Add a splash of beef broth when reheating to prevent the sauce from thickening too much. This dish can also be frozen for up to three months.
