  • 1 cup quinoa Rinsed under cold water
  • 2 cups vegetable or chicken broth Use your preference for the broth
  • 3 tablespoons butter or a dairy-free alternative Melted for the garlic butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Sautéed until fragrant
  • to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning
  • for garnish Fresh herbs (such as parsley or chives) Chopped for topping

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Rinse the quinoa under cold water to remove the saponin coating.
  • In a medium saucepan, combine the rinsed quinoa and broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer, cover, and cook for about 15 minutes until fluffy.

Garlic Butter Preparation

  • Melt the butter in a small skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant, avoiding browning.

Combine and Serve

  • Fluff the quinoa with a fork and pour the garlic butter over it. Season with salt and pepper and mix well.
  • Garnish with freshly chopped herbs and serve warm.

Notes

Check that the quinoa is fluffy before serving, and add sautéed vegetables for extra nutrition. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-5 days. Reheat with a splash of water.
