Preparation

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground meat and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Ensure it is crumbled and cooked through.
  • Once the meat is cooked, add in the minced garlic and ginger, stirring for about a minute until fragrant.
  • Next, add the shredded cabbage, carrots, and green onions to the skillet. Stir and cook for an additional 5-10 minutes, allowing the vegetables to wilt and soften.
  • Drizzle in the soy sauce and sesame oil, mixing well to ensure everything is coated with the sauce.
  • Cook for another two minutes, then remove from heat. Serve warm straight from the skillet, topped with optional garnishes like chopped cashews and sesame seeds.

Notes

For best flavor, use fresh ingredients. Gluten-free options are available by replacing soy sauce with coconut aminos. Adjust spice levels with red pepper flakes as desired. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
