  • 1 lb Ground turkey Use turkey with a little fat for better texture.
  • 1 cup Gluten free breadcrumbs Choose a brand you like or crush gluten free crackers.
  • 1 large Egg Helps bind the mixture.
  • 1 small Grated onion Adds moisture and flavor.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced for flavor.
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning For classic flavor.
  • 1 tsp Salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 tsp Black pepper Adjust to taste.
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil Helps keep the meatballs tender.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, gluten free breadcrumbs, egg, grated onion, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and olive oil.
  • Mix gently with your hands until evenly combined, being careful not to over mix.
  • Roll the mixture into meatballs, approximately 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter, and place them on the lined sheet pan with some space between each ball.
  • Bake for 16 to 20 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).

Notes

Store cooked meatballs in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. They can also be frozen for 2 to 3 months.
