Bread Base

  • 1 large French loaf or Italian bread Halal

Garlic Butter Mixture

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4-5 cloves garlic, minced Use fresh garlic for best flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley Or 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped.
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Cheese Toppings

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Feel free to add more for indulgence.
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Optional Spicy Kick

  • to taste red pepper flakes Optional for added spice.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, oregano, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  • Slice the bread in half horizontally, making two long halves.
  • Generously spread the garlic butter mixture over the cut sides of the bread.
  • Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan over the buttered bread.
  • Place the bread halves on a baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until cheese is bubbling and golden brown. Optionally broil for 1-2 minutes for extra crispiness.
  • Let cool slightly, slice into pieces, and serve warm.

Notes

Use fresh garlic for the best flavor. You can experiment by adding different cheeses or herbs, and store leftovers in an airtight container.
