  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch Helps to tenderize the beef.
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil For stir frying.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Adds flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced Enhances the dish's aroma.
  • to taste salt and pepper Season as per preference.

For serving

  • as needed cooked rice or quinoa Choose based on preference.

Preparation

  • In a bowl, combine sliced beef with soy sauce, cornstarch, and oyster sauce if using. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.

Cooking

  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat, then add minced garlic and ginger, stirring to prevent burning.
  • Add broccoli florets to the skillet and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp.
  • Push the broccoli to one side and add the marinated beef to the other side. Cook for 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently until the beef is browned and cooked through.
  • Toss together the beef and broccoli, adding more soy sauce if desired. Season with salt and pepper and serve hot over rice or quinoa.

Notes
