  • 1 crisp apple skin on – try Fuji or Honeycrisp
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger optional, but great for digestion
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt or dairy-free yogurt
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds or ground flaxseed
  • ice cubes optional for thickness
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder optional

Instructions
 

  • Core and chop the apple, keeping the peel for extra fiber.
  • Add apple, frozen banana, almond butter, cinnamon, ginger, almond milk, yogurt, seeds, and optional protein powder to a blender.
  • Blend until creamy and smooth. Add ice cubes for extra thickness, if desired.
  • Taste and adjust sweetness with a medjool date or maple syrup if needed.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes

Use frozen banana for creaminess without added sugar. Cinnamon helps control cravings and blood sugar. Store extra smoothie in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
