Ingredients
  

Nachos Base

  • 1 bag bag of tortilla chips (about 8 ounces)

Cheese and Toppings

  • 2 cups shredded cheese (such as cheddar and Monterey Jack)
  • 1 cup canned black beans, rinsed and drained
  • ½ cup sliced jalapeños (fresh or pickled)
  • 1 small tomato, diced
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro (optional) For garnish
  • 1 each avocado, diced (optional for topping)
  • ½ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt for drizzling

Preparation

  • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, spread a layer of tortilla chips and sprinkle half of the shredded cheese over the top.
  • Distribute the black beans, sliced jalapeños, and diced tomatoes evenly over the cheese.
  • Add the remaining half of the shredded cheese on top.

Cooking

  • Carefully place the layered nachos into the air fryer basket and cook at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes.
  • Keep an eye on them to ensure they don’t get too browned.

Serving

  • Once your nachos are done, remove them carefully from the air fryer.
  • Top with fresh cilantro, diced avocado, and a drizzle of sour cream or Greek yogurt, season with salt and pepper to taste.

Notes

For best results, layer ingredients evenly, avoid overcrowding, and consider experimenting with different cheeses. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
